Pastor Calvin Hensley is a native of Asheville, NC. He was born in 1966. He has lived in NC, KY and IN as the family would move under the direction of God from place to place. In 1982, they moved to Indiana and in 1983, Victory Independent Baptist Church was started. Pastor Calvin has been a part of the church since its inception. In March of 1984, Bro. Calvin surrendered to the call to preach and since then, he has been very blessed to be used by God in many ministries and had the great opportunity to Preach in many places. This is all because of the grace of God and his goodness and mercy. In April of 2001, he became interim Pastor and then full time Pastor in Sept 2001. The most valuable experience that has helped the Pastor along the way is that of living in a preachers home all of his life. He has been faithful to the ministry which God placed him in, and is very excited about what the Lord is doing in his family as well as the ministry.
His wife Lisa is from Greenfield. She was also born in 1966. She has been blessed by God with a wonderful talent of sign language. It is always a blessing to “watch” her sign. She works as an Educational Interpreter. Pastor Calvin and Sister Lisa were married June 20, 1987 and have two great children, Bethany Joann, born 1989 and C. Jacob, born 1993 both which are very active in all of the ministries of the Church. The family is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord here @ Victory and Victory is grateful for their leadership.
